03 Mar MARDI GRAS 2017
The party that turns Sydney streets in to a wonderful, glitter-filled runway is on this weekend! Saturday to be to be specific.
The first Mardi Gras took to our streets in 1978 and is now an iconic, well-loved event that bring tourists to Sydney and locals out on the street. The festival runs over a month and the parade is the ultimate celebration to embrace the LBTQI community as well as the support and love from mainstream communities.
Come down and celebrate from 7pm at Oxford and Flinders St, Darlinghurst.
See you there!
“Imagine 12,000 people swishing and sauntering along Oxford & Flinders Streets in a dazzling array of sequins, feathers, leathers and speedos to celebrate Creating Equality, with more than 300,000 people cheering them on.
The 39th annual Parade promises to continue to show the world all the beautiful colours of our rainbow communities and be a fabulous opportunity for unbridled self-expression and love.” –
