The original dress walked down the Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2009 runway, with matching headpiece.
Blake Lively wore the archive Chanel Haute Couture Spring 2009 to the premiere of Green Lantern in 2011 along side her new husband Ryan Reynolds. Karl Largerfeld described Ms Lively at the time as “A kind of American dream girl”.
Poppy Delevigne, British socialite, model, Chanel Ambassador and ‘it’ girl wore a custom made version of the Chanel Haute Couture dress to her wedding in May 2014. Toning down the original embroidery only slightly, Ms Delevinge opted for more subtle floral applique to then decorate the skirt’s hemline and the body of the dress.
